Latin American Forum for Members of Health Research Ethics Committees


The
goal of the Latin American Forum for Members of Health Research Ethics
Committees (FLACEIS) is to foster a better understanding and implementation
of health research ethics evaluation in Latin
America.
It aims to do so by theoretical and conceptual development within
the context of research ethics in Latin America and,
by privileging implementation of ethics evaluation in an efficient
way that is harmonious with theoretical constructs and international
parameters.

Pan American Health Organization Regional
Program on Bioethics

The Regional Program on Bioethics (RPB) was established
in Santiago, Chile in 1994 through an agreement among the Pan American
Health Organization (PAHO), the University of Chile and the Government
of Chile. The Regional Program on Bioethics has promoted the development
of bioethical reflection, has collaborated in activities programmed
by academic institutions and of service, has carried out researches
and surveys, and has contributed to the work of PAHO Representations
in the majority of the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean.
